Patsy Smithson joined the staff as secretary of Central Holston Christian Church in September 1995.   Patsy was married for 39 years to the late Lt. Col. Larry A. Smithson.  During Larry’s Air Force career, Patsy volunteered as Brownie Scout leader, Sunday School teacher, youth sponsor, and PTA secretary.  After his retirement in 1988, they moved back to Bristol and Patsy continued to volunteer her services as Sunday School teacher, PTA president at Emmett Elementary and Holston Valley Middle School, Sullivan East High Choir Booster’s president, cheerleading coach at Weaver Elementary and Emmett Elementary, organizing many school fund-raisers and whatever else her daughters volunteered her to do.  Patsy has two daughters. Sherry teaches third grade at Providence Academy and is married to Chris Chambers who is an electrical engineer. They have two daughters, Alison and Nicole.  Karyn works for Milligan College and is married to Mark Garland who is a lawyer.  Patsy’s hobbies include reading, sewing, shopping, and playing with her granddaughters.
