WORSHIP MINISTRY TEAM

Statement of Purpose

The worship team exists to help create worship services where people and God are brought together for the purposes of:

•Honoring God that he might be glorified in our midst (Ex 15:2; Ps 34:3; 1 Cor 14:6-17) because God is worthy of our praise (Ps 18:3; Rev 4:11)

•Persuading unbelievers to repent, receive forgiveness of sins, place faith in Christ as Savior (Acts 18:4; 2 Cor 5:11-15), and to submit to Christian baptism by immersion in keeping with the Scriptures (Acts 2:38; Matt 3:13; Mk 1:9)

•Building up the faith of the believer.(1 Cor 8:1; 14:12; Eph 2:19-22)

In order to help bring people and God together, which we pray will honor God, point unbelievers to him, and encourage the believer, the Worship Team will strive toward worship gatherings that support our purposes by:

•Stressing a spirit of unity and oneness among God’s people. (Eph 4:3, 13; 1 Peter 2:4-5)

•Developing services that create a sense of belonging and care for everyone present. (Acts 2:42-47; 1 Cor 12:4-27)

•Making every aspect of every service as meaningful and relevant to the life of each person as well as to the congregational-life of the church as possible. (Deut 6:4-9; Ps 95:6-7a; Ps 100; Acts 17:24-31)
